Following this week’s great news that one Texas city is focusing on eating more plant-based foods, thanks to an initiative by its vegan mayor, here’s some more good news from the state: Dallas’ first vegan baked good trucks is set to ride the streets of the city this weekend, providing animal-free desserts to the whole city!

The truck, called Vegan Noms, will sell desserts such as “brownie bites, snickerdoodle cookies, muffins and cupcakes, all made without eggs or butter.”

Owner Allison Catalani is prepared to show all people, whether they’re vegan or not, how delicious vegan baking can be: “The word vegan is scary to some people,” she said. “When I offer people a vegan dessert, I always leave the ‘and it’s vegan’ at the end. Some people make a face, others say they would love to try that.”

With her new truck, she’s ready for everyone to give her array of vegan treats a try!

Veggie-centered food trucks are on the rise around the country, and if you’re hankering to check one out, be sure to read up with our 10 amazing veg food trucks guide right here — we guarantee you won’t be disappointed!
