The swirling debates on climate change and the potential damage its effects will have are grabbing the world’s attention right now. Focusing on the security of global food systems, the well-being of cities, and our own health, the damage appears catastrophic, and yet, still very little action is being taken to remediate these effects.
The news media has examined these issues from economic, social, and political perspectives but they all miss the perspective that should really be at the heart of the matter. Knowing what we know, how can you not care about what the future will look like for your great-grandchildren?
This is precisely the question Jane Goodall is asking Australia’s politicians. Dr. Goodall is a conservationist in every sense of the world. Seeing the larger picture of the importance of taking any action necessary to ensure the planet is left intact (if not better!) for our grandchildren, Dr. Goodall addresses what can be done by politicians to see this goal come to fruition.
Dr. Goodall deserves yet another round of applause in my book. Being able to connect all of the issues surrounding Conservation efforts is key to working toward real solutions. Well done, Jane!
