Homeless Maltese Goes From Sick and Severely Matted to Healthy and Energetic Thanks to Rescuers (VIDEO)

Amazing dog rescue organization Hope for Paws – which has carried out tons of heartwarming rescue operations in the past – has just saved yet another homeless pooch in need. This time, the recipient of their loving care was Violet, a sick Maltese who was found living on the streets. She had taken refuge under a car to escape the blistering 100-degree heat, and her rescuers had to work very hard to gain her trust and coax her out from underneath it.

In the video above, it is plain to see that Violet was a tentative girl who – though she was thankful for the food provided by the Hope for Paws team – had no intention of simply leaping into their arms! However, with a little bit of loving Support and reassurance, she eventually allowed herself to be held, hugged, and brought to a local veterinarian.

Her fur was so heavily infested with fleas and ticks that nearly all of it had to be removed. She also had to be hospitalized for severe anemia and dehydration before finally being well enough to go to her foster home. Once she was healthy again, she began to display a sweet, playful temperament that captured the hearts of everyone who came into contact with her!
