In Fairfield County, Connecticut, a small Chihuahua mix named Thor has entered the spotlight on TikTok. Anne Dennen and her husband, Matt Narel, who lovingly care for five senior rescue dogs, have found an ingenious way to gauge aggression in their foster dogs—by unleashing Thor, the 10-year-old dynamo, onto them.
Shared on TikTok under the handle @the_misfit_pets, a recent video showcased Thor’s relentless attempts to engage with Copper, a dog available for adoption. Despite Thor’s persistent playfulness, Copper remained unruffled, earning a pass on the aggression test.

Thor’s playful antics serve a crucial purpose. “Thor has always struggled with doggie boundaries,” explained Dennen. By introducing their foster dogs to Thor first, the couple can assess their tolerance levels, ensuring they’re not aggressive or reactive.
While Thor may be a handful, his presence has led to heartwarming outcomes. Copper, a 2-year-old terrier mix struggling with abandonment issues, found a pending adoption thanks to the exposure from the video.
Anne and Matt’s journey with Thor began in August 2021 when they started fostering him. Quickly falling for his goofy charm, they decided to make Thor a permanent part of their family.
The video’s humorous caption, “Thanks for your service Thor,” accompanied by over 11.9 million views, has resonated deeply with viewers. With thousands of comments expressing delight at Thor’s antics and the heartening outcome for Copper, it’s clear that Thor’s unconventional role as an aggression tester has touched many hearts.
