We’ve all heard the slogan…ad nauseam.
Milk, it does a body good!
Although the Dairy Industry recently launched a campaign trying to convince consumers that only cow’s milk is “real milk” and other milks are “not natural,” we know better!
Consumption of plant-based milks is on the rise, while U.S. dairy consumption has been steadily falling over the past 10-15 years. And that’s definitely a good thing!
Cow’s milk has been correlated with heart disease, type 1 diabetes, and several types of cancer.
And plant-based milks have cow’s milk beat, hands down – from a nutrition standpoint, and perhaps soon even from a cost standpoint! Not to mention the horrific ways cows and their offspring are treated in the dairy industry and the fact that drinking the milk of another species is just NOT natural!

For some reason, the stats give off a bullshit vibe.
That and Milk is tastes too freaking good to give up.
I agree, especially the calorie comparison, it may have the same amount of calories, but these are better calories then those of starch, oil, and additives (Fries). The entire presentation of statistics in this argument is very ambiguous.
Tasting good is great – for a treat. But you can enjoy treats without making them a staple. I think other sources of calcium do better as staples.
I’m not pro-dairy industry and especially not pro industryal farming anything. BUT this infographic is trash – poor statistics, shaky comparisons, explicitly designed to confuse gullible people. If you want people to take you seriously don’t use ridiculous info graphics from sites like “learnstuff” their science is awful.
