The wild dolphins in this video can be seen with their pod members, as dolphins are quite the social animal. When they are stripped from their freedom, to be captured and trapped in barren pool tanks for our entertainment, they are being deprived of everything and everyone they know.
Dolphins don’t belong in captivity. They belong in the wild, and Jane Goodall was among the most recent to express a call to free them. When India has already banned dolphin captivity and Romania is on the brink of proposing dolphins as “non-human persons,” there’s no excuse for the U.S. to continue to use these intelligent creatures for entertainment.
