Most people who adopt dogs think of their fur babies as lifelong members of the family. Some, however, do not see caring for a pet as a serious responsibility and abandon their companions for a myriad of trivial reasons. Buzz the Staffordshire Bull Terrier and Glenn the Jack Russell, are two dogs who were tragically abandoned by their guardian because of their old age. Despite being left to fend for themselves in a sea tunnel located in Hartlepool, England, Buzz and Glenn have remained upbeat and resilient thanks to the incredible bond they share.

Glenn is completely blind and Buzz acts as his very own seeing-eye dog. Thankfully, the two are now being cared for by Stray Aid and have proven to be quite the dynamic duo in the shelter. “Glenn gets his confidence from Buzz and if they were separated even for a few minutes they both bark and become distressed so they would need to have a loving home together,” explains Sue Bielby, one of the shelter’s employees.

They might not be the youngest pups, but they are certainly some of the most loving and loyal dogs we’ve ever seen. To learn more about adopting Buzz and Glenn, check out the Stray Aid website. Good luck finding a forever home!

No one with a soul could leave these dos to fend for them selves. If there is a hell may yo be the first to burn.
How do you know the reason they were abandoned? Did the owner leave a note explaining? (I\’m not being sarcastic, just wondering if that\’s the case). Maybe sometimes homeless people die or are taken into hospital or something and the dogs are left behind accidentally?
I\’m not saying that people don\’t abandon pets, but just that maybe we shouldn\’t always jump to a negative conclusion.
You\’re right, Jay. We shouldn\’t jump to conclusions. Sometimes rescue organizations exaggerate a little hoping that the sympathy element will help the animals get adopted. Sometimes elderly people die and their animals are ignored as well as homeless people. Thanks for your grounded input!
