Here is a story today about a beautiful little dog from Tennessee who desperately needs our help.

When Rescue Dogs Rock was made aware of Hope’s situation, they immediately got involved. Poor Hope had been abandoned, and this poor little girl was suffering from a broken jaw. She would have died an excruciating and painfully slow death had she not been found by kind rescuers, and we can’t be more grateful to them for calling this in.

As well as her broken jaw, which causes her tongue to hang out of the left side of her mouth, Hope has small cuts and gashes over her nose.

Hope’s eyes are milky and blurred with infection. She is heartworm positive, loaded with parasites, and has a tick disease. Hope is badly emaciated, weighing only 32 pounds, which is far too light for being 18 months old. Her bones are prominent, and she has even lost the muscle mass in her head due to a lack of nutrition.

How could anyone have abandoned Hope to suffer alone like this when she couldn’t as much as call out in pain to alert passersby to her plight? How long has she suffered in silence growing weaker and weaker and losing all hope?

Hope looks pitiful, and who could blame her after what she has suffered? What she needs more than anything now is the time to recover from her ordeal so that she can be fit and well again to be adopted by a loving family who will give her all the love and affection she needs. Get well soon, Hope, we can’t wait to hear about your recovery!

No animal deserves to suffer like this. These conditions take time to develop, and the fact Hope has become so emaciated can probably be partly attributed to her broken jaw, which means this little girl couldn’t even forage for food! There are 200 million animals like Hope living on our streets across the world, 70 million of which are in America alone. These animals need our help, and they deserve our love. We have to do all we can to give them the lives they have missed out on. We have to adopt these animals and take them home!
