33-Year-Old Blind Pony Gets a Seeing-Eye Donkey

At this Misfit Zoo of rescued animals, a mini donkey and a 33-year-old blind pony got set up on a friend’s blind date, and it went better than expected!

Upon meeting for the first time, the two of them had an instant connection and were practically inseparable from that point on. Gidget was rescued 30 years ago when she was about three years old. Her best friend Zeus passed away from cancer, leaving Gidget heartbroken.

Similarly, Eeyore, the mini-donkey, was best friends with Thor, an older horse that also passed away from cancer. Since both of them had recently lost an animal friend at the farm, they seemed to share a special bond and just get each other in a way no one else did. Now, the two of them are unstoppable forces that follow each other everywhere and frequently get into all kinds of mischief.
