2. Mangosteen

Mangosteen

On the outside, purple Mangosteens look like a cross between an apple and a radish while their insides resemble the interior of an orange and are white and fleshy. These funky-looking fruits, which taste like peaches and clementines, have their origins in the Malay Archipelago of Southeast Asia and are still found in the rainforests of Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines today.

Mangosteens are juicy, delicious, and good for your body. Like cherimoya, they contain immunity-supporting vitamin C in addition to some B-complex vitamins including thiamin, niacin, and folates, which help with your metabolism. What’s more, mangosteens have high amounts of copper, manganese, magnesium, and potassium packed in their snowy white flesh.

Serving suggestion: Include mangosteen chunks as an added exotic flourish to your fruit salad.
