Are you forever on the lookout for that new herb to help boost your health?
It’s time to dig your heels in and learn a bit about red clover!
Red clover is a flowering plant found in a variety of places around the world including the “northern Atlantic and central Europe, the Mediterranean region, [the] Balkans, Asian Minor, Iran, India, [the] Himalayas, Russia from [the] Arctic south to east Siberia, [the] Caucasus, and the Far East.” On top of that, red clover is also grown in the Americas, brought overseas by British colonists.
Yet, red clover isn’t simply a “flowering plant,” but it’s actually part of the legume family and is rife in those healthy plant-based compounds called isoflavones — a “type of phytoestrogen … [which has a] similar chemical makeup to estrogen, the female hormone that declines with menopause.”
Science is still looking into the efficacy of red clover and it’s individual health benefits, but the current research is definitely looking very positive!
So, what does red clover do for your body?
Due to its estrogen-like effects, red clover has been mainly used to help with menopause symptoms and menstrual difficulties. Specifically, red clover may help reduce hot flashes and night sweats related to menopause. Red clover is also generally “used to treat respiratory issues (such as asthma, whooping cough, and bronchitis), skin disorders (such as eczema and psoriasis), inflammatory conditions like arthritis, and women’s health problems (such as menopausal and menstrual symptoms).”
Before plunging forward with your red clover trial run, make sure to speak with your doctor about adding this herbal remedy to your regimen!

Fabulous Red says “I usually don’t review products but I always appreciate people who do for people like me who do their research. However, I wanted to write my honest opinion of these supplements. I have been using the product for a few weeks and my hormonal acne that covered my jawline and under my chin has amazingly started to clear. I had the worst outbreak right before purchasing these supplements that I was in tears. I hadn’t had such a terrible breakout since I was a teenager. I was desperate to do anything to fix it and I didn’t want to go back on Accutane. I feel this is working tremendously more than I ever expected. If your like me and have tried everything, give this a shot!! I take 1 pill at the moment right before bed since I feel like at night when your skin resets, etc. I don’t follow that 3 pills a day between meals – that’s cray! I always ease into things at first to gauge my reaction to it. It’s working for me doing it this way. Do what you feel is right! Also after about a month of being on these my time of the month came and a few things are just downright SHOCKING…..no cramps, no crazy breakouts on my face, no bloating, and no heavy bleeding!”

Kaelenn says “Amazing stuff! I started using red clover as part of a protocol to heal strep/ acne-causing bacteria and also support my hormones. Red clover is recommended by the Medical Medium to heal acne\ support the liver etc. I honestly wasn’t even expecting to notice a difference because with most herbs my acne actually gets a lot worse before it gets better but this one was different! Since I started taking it a few weeks ago I haven’t gotten one painful cystic pimple along my jawline! I usually get anywhere from 3-10 at a time with a new one popping up almost daily during the second half of my cycle. I feel like red clover has been amazing for supporting my hormones! I only take 1/2 tsp a day in a smoothie or in oatmeal. I am so happy with this supplement I will repurchase from bulk in the future. As far as bulk supplements go, I order several other bulk powders from them including l-tryptophan, inositol, berberine, and taurine, and have always been satisfied with the quality.”
