Petition: Demand Trump Testify for January 6th Committee

There is no doubt that ex-President Trump influenced the Capitol riots, and the degree to which he did so must be thoroughly investigated. January 6th was a horrific day for our country, a public attack on democracy that left Capitol staff and legislators in fear for their lives. The committee said the rioters, some of whom vowed to kill Pence, came within 40 feet of him before Secret Service agents could get him to a safe location in the Capitol, as reported by CNBC. Retired federal Judge J. Michael Luttig also directly accused Trump and his allies of waging a “war on democracy” on Jan. 6, 2021, and called him a “clear and present danger” to American democracy, CNBC added.
