Captain Oona Layolle is Director of Ship Operations and Campaign Leader for Sea Shepherd Conservation Society. Her past missions for Sea Shepherd include officer on anti-whaling missions in Antarctica and the Faeroes, in the Mediterranean on behalf of the endangered blue fin tuna. Ultimately she led the Op Milagro to protect the most endanger marine mammal in the world, the vaquita marina. She has also been leading research projects to study ocean pollution and toxicology levels in whales.
