When Hope for Paws got a call about a cat missing half of her face, they didn’t fully know what to expect. JoAnn Wiltz rushed over to find a cat that had obviously had a hard life, but was still extremely sweet and gentle. JoAnn lured the cat out with food and in return, the cat allowed JoAnn to pet her.
JoAnn brought the cat back for medical treatment and decided to name her Angel Face. The veterinarians diagnosed Angel Face with a fungal infection, cryptococcus, that had gone untreated for far too long. She also tested positive for FIV. It’s so sad to imagine what Angel Face has gone through during her life. However, her resilience is inspiring. Despite everything, she still has so much love to give.
Hope for Paws is going to treat her until she is better and can find her forever home. Right now Let Them Be Little – Feline Rescue is fostering Angel Face. In order for her to heal, Angel Face needs months on expensive antifungal medication.
