Losing a pet is many people’s greatest fear. They are members of the family, but unlike our human family members, they can’t call us on a phone to tell us where they ended up. Luckily, there are many kind people who will do whatever they can to find a lost animal’s home and bring the animal to safety. If you’re in need of some heartwarming content, watch this video of a hiker who rescued a cat when it was negative twenty degrees outside!
Every November, Max and his friends raise money for Men’s Health Initiative month. The initiative that he chose this past year was a 60-kilometer hike. Around the 10th kilometer, he heard a small cry nearby. It turned out to be a kitten in a tree that Max decided to temporarily call “Kilometer 10.” Temperatures were below freezing, so Max took the cat, resolute to find his owners. Kilometer 10 happily perched on Max’s shoulders and followed closely behind on the journey back to Max’s car.
Eventually, Max found the cat’s family and found out that he went missing after a snow storm. After searching for three days, they assumed there was no hope and got their daughter a new kitten. So, Max got to adopt his furry little hitchhiker and named the cat “Hytch.” Max and Hytch are the best of friends and we’re so happy that they found each other.
