One year ago, two goats were found wandering on the subway tracks of New York City. Even if you’ve never lived in or visited New York City, you must know how rare it is for goats to be seen walking around, especially in or around the subway. It turned out these goats escaped a live market!
Escaping was the best thing these goats could do. Fortunately, they weren’t hurt or injured and instead were taken to Farm Sanctuary by animal advocates Tracey and John Stewart (also a famous comedian). Just three days ago, on August 20th, the two goats celebrated an entire year of freedom since their lucky escape!
Their names are Taylor and Reiman. In the sweet video tribute above, they can be seen enjoying their lives at the sanctuary. They run, play, and graze as much as they’d like. Farm Sanctuary funnily says they are still “escape artists,” and the video shows proof. They can get through any small space. But they love their new lives and homes so much that they don’t go far!
You won’t find Taylor or Reiman on subway tracks ever again. They are now well cared for and too busy enjoying life at the sanctuary.
