Pit Bulls can be some of the most loyal and loving companions, but sadly, many people fear this particular breed due to false stereotypes that they are vicious or aggressive. Unfortunately, some irresponsible guardians take advantage of the Pit Bull’s loyalty and force them to fight one another for the sake of profit in fighting rings. While Pit Bulls subjected to this life and trained to be aggressive might be in a minority, the stigma associated with fighting rings is often applied to every dog who even bears the resemblance of a Bully-breed. As a result, Pit Bulls are often abandoned and left in animal shelters or simply forced onto the streets.
The Pit Bull mother in this video knows what it is like to have to fend for herself all too well. While it is unknown how she became homeless, this pup struggled to make due using the hollow foundation of a house as a shelter for herself and her new litter of puppies.
When the owner of the home discovered the family, they called in Hope for Paws. Given Hope for Paws’ expertise with rescuing dogs from all sorts of sticky situations, rescuers were more than ready to crawl under the house to bring these pups to safety. It certainly wasn’t an easy rescue, but seeing the happy puppies and their doting mother safe and sound was well worth it!
The puppies have now all found loving forever homes, but the mama pup, Sansa, is still looking for hers. If you are interested in adopting Sansa, check out the Bullies and Buddies website.
Enjoy your new home, pups!

Now if they\’d just quit eating people, they might some day lose their bad reputation. Which by the way is the result of how they\’re bred, not how they\’re raised. Same with fighting. It\’s how they\’re bred, not forced. I hope all the new puppy owners were informed of the risks with this breed.
Bring a tear to see a mama dog on street. But it brings relief that these little ones got a home. Good Luck to Mama
