If you were to come across Belle the Yorkshire Terrier, you might easily mistake her for a hamster. Belle, short for Tinkerbelle, is six weeks old but is around eight times smaller than she should be for a dog of this breed. While Yorkies are known for being small dogs, Belle’s case is a bit extreme.

This special little pup was born the runt of the litter and rejected by her mother soon after birth and had to be resuscitated. Against all odds, Belle was determined to live and thanks to the hard work of her guardian, Karenza Cruse, the little pup is still here and as cute as ever.

Belle needs to be fed via syringe every hour, so she goes everywhere Cruse does.

In addition to caring for little Belle, Cruse manages a guest house and her own children. Surely this is a lot of work – but this little face must make it all worth it!

Cruse and Belle have become local celebrities in their hometown of Great Yarmouth.

We weren’t kidding when we said Belle is the size of a hamster … here she is with an actual hamster.

She is a mere speck compared to this pint of milk.

You might not see it in this precious little face, but Belle is one tough cookie!

We believe in you Belle!
