As animal lovers, it breaks our hearts to hear stories about what dogs, cats, chimps, rabbits, mice, and countless others endure in laboratory testing. Animals are used for everything from cosmetic to biomedical testing, but while the purpose of their captivity may differ, they all experience the same fear and pain. Knowing that many of these cruel tests are not only incredibly ineffective but also unnecessary, it seems absurd that we continue to subject living beings to life in a lab.
