Ingredients

  • King Trumpet mushrooms
  • 1 cup flour, gluten-free if needed
  • 2 tablespoons chickpea flour
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay spice
  • 1.5 cups beer

Preparation

  1. Peel mushrooms apart.
  2. Mix everything for the batter together. Add the water or beer slowly. You may not need it all. You don’t want batter too thick or too thin.
  3. Mix mushrooms with batter. Carefully fry a handful of battered mushrooms at a time. Once golden remove from heated oil.
