It’s no secret that Starbucks has been seriously upping its game this year when it comes to releasing new and exciting plant-based food and drink options. From their debut of the turmeric lattes in the UK to the vegan cupcakes in Southern Florida locations, the prolific coffee chain knows that plant-based options are only increasing in demand. And now, Starbucks has graced us with an early holiday present — Toffee Almond Milk Hot Cocoa!
While many Starbucks items can be ordered vegan if you leave out certain flavorings and opt for non-dairy milk options, few can be ordered straight off the menu. Luckily, this hot cocoa needs no substitution and comes ready made vegan, all you have to do is remind your barista to leave off the whipped cream!
The best part about the Toffee Almond Milk Hot Cocoa? There’s no extra charge for non-dairy milk! Most Starbucks locations will tack on an extra charge of 50-70 cents anytime you order a drink that includes one of their non-dairy milk options. However, since almond milk is included in the title, you don’t have to worry about it.
