Despite being the richest country in the world, a whopping 9 million children in the United States are food insecure. This horrifying statistic means millions of kids regularly experience unnecessary discomfort and pain. Food insecurity and hunger can affect a child’s cognitive development, performance in school, and even their social relationships. Luckily, legislators have passed a new law in Minnesota that will change all of this – at least for the kids in their state.
