If you need something to inspire your Monday morning after the holiday, this video just may be it. Meet Scarlett, a 12-year-old mare found tied to a tree on a hillside in Wayne, W.Va. She was found in terrible shape, and her rescuers weren’t sure she was going to make it. She looks as though she is starving to death, with visible ribs and hardly any energy. It took four men to lift her! She was then taken in and fed, given fluids, and supported until she could stand on her own again.

Watch Scarlett’s story and her progression from nearly dead to what seems to be a healthy, happy horse! We are so happy she was rescued in time and hope she thrives on for many, many years!
