WATCH: The Shortest Cat in the World!

The Guinness World Records has officially pronounced Fizz Girl as the shortest cat of the entire feline world.

Fizz Girl, a two-year old Munchkin measures a measly six inches from shoulders to ground, compared to the average cat’s ten inches. Munchkins are a cat breed known for abnormally short legs that are often bowed.

The previous record was held by Itse Bitse, who was just 3.75 inches high when measured in 2003, but recently went missing.

  1. I love your site, but this is a miss and I have to agree with Ian. Let’s not promote animal breeding. There are so many animals in shelters that will never find a good home because of breeders pumping out the product.

  2. Just a filter check here. While this is an interesting story in the sense that it is novel, giving publicity to cat breeders isn’t the best way to fill the news hole. I love domesticated cats, but if there were only a female and male left in the world, I would still take them to the vet to get fixed. There are too many domesticated animals that need our help, let’s not support the industry that creates more animals for nothing more than a novelty.
