Life for a stray dog is anything but easy. Without a home or a steady source of healthy food, these pups are susceptible to starvation, dehydration and illness. Tragically, the combination of these things often leads to their untimely death. The poor street dog in this video was on the brink of death due to an extreme case of mange, but thankfully, Animal Aid Unlimited came to the rescue right in the nick of time!
When his rescuers found him, the sad, sick dog barely had any hair and was covered with painful lacerations. No one knows how long he had suffered with mange, but there is no denying the severity of his case – it is really no wonder he couldn’t muster the strength or will to eat for the first few days in their care. However, with intensive care and a series of medicated skin treatments, the dog’s condition gradually started to improve.
Two months later, this puppy is cute and friendly as can be and has grown back all of his fur! It is truly amazing to see the transformation of an animal who was so close to giving up. With a little love and a lot of care, anything is possible!
