Talk about a scary situation! This precious boy is Spyder, and the name has more than one meaning. Not only was he found on Halloween but also, look at his long slender legs. This is no cute costume, however, this is the result of severe starvation. Spyder and another dog were abandoned and left to survive on their own. Unfortunately, Spyder’s friend was unable to hold on for help to arrive. Spyder was found guarding over the deceased dog by the local shelter, who then called on Rescue Dogs Rock NYC.

Spyder is in serious condition, he is literally skin and bones. He is also covered in open sores and understandably exhausted, scared, and heartbroken. After witnessing his best buddy, his only trusted friend die such a slow and agonizing death, it’s hard to comprehend what made Spyder stay there instead of looking for his own help. Things have a way of working out sometimes though, and we can’t think of a better place for Spyder to have ended up.
