The shelter environment can be nerve-wracking for many dogs. After all, there are lots of strange sounds and smells. For one scared dog, nerves have been part of the reason that he has struggled to find a home. Housed at the Humane Society of Broward County, Dale is a nine-month-old puppy who is waiting for someone to give him a forever home.
The sweet, scared dog is originally from Puerto Rico. He arrived at the shelter with his brother, who was soon adopted. However, Dale was left behind, scared and alone. He finds the shelter environment nerve-wracking and spends time hiding under his bed.
Despite the scared dog’s predicament, Dale is still a puppy. He loved playtime, although he can be a little shy with new people. He still needs some training but would be okay in a home with older children. The Humane Society of Broward County is looking for someone to adopt or foster Dale, getting the scared dog out of the shelter.
