It can be easy to feel like the world is out to get the animal population. From news of abuse to the harsh reality of what goes on behind the walls of factory farms and fur factories, it can seem like people simply don’t care about animals. Despite this, there are individuals out there who consider animals as individuals, such as the amazing people at Edgar’s Mission, a farm sanctuary located in Australia.
The kind people of Edgar’s Mission worked tirelessly to save a sheep named Posy from the brink of death. Posy’s origins were unknown, but it was clear that this poor creature endured terrible suffering. When they discovered the weak being, the rescuers thought she was dead until her leg moved.
Looking at Posy now, you would never think this sheep has gone through such trauma. These fantastic humans did not give up on her, but instead, they treated Posy with the same amount of attention and respect as one would a human. In addition to the thoughtfulness of the amazing rescuers, Posy’s strength must also be considered. For this helpless animal to undergo such hardships and to be able to now live healthily is an astounding accomplishment in itself.
