It seems that when it comes to helping out an orphaned baby animal in need, there is no shortage of compassion in the animal kingdom. We’ve seen cats raise puppies and vice versa. It might seem strange, but both animals benefit from the relationship and … well, it’s actually incredibly adorable. So what do you get when you rescue a baby lamb and your dog takes over as its caretaker? Well, as you can see from this duo in the video above … a baby lamb who barks!
Animals emulating their interspecies parents is nothing new. Just take a look at this dog who clearly seems to articulate “hello.” Or this pup who tells his mom he loves her.
Animals learn everything they know from their mothers, including how to communicate. When an animal has a mother of another species, their new adoptive baby will communicate as if they are a member of that species. Isn’t nature cool?
