A new award-winning film has been released showing how adopting an organic, plant-based diet can literally change the world. H.O.P.E. What You Eat Matters is a film by Nina Messinger that aims to expose the appalling effects a typical Western diet has on our health, the environment, and animals.

The documentary features plant-based health experts such as Dr. T. Colin Campbell and Dr. Caldwell B. Esselstyn, and according to a report in Female First, Sir Paul McCartney said, “This important film highlights the choices we must make to help protect this planet and all its inhabitants.”

Increasingly, we’ve become aware that our current food system that is centered around producing cheap meat and dairy, is really not benefitting anyone other than the corporations behind it. Industrial animal agriculture is responsible for more greenhouse gas emissions than the entire transportation sector and is literally causing the destruction of the world’s remaining rainforests.

The film dives into not only this aspect of our food system, but it also talks about how we can prevent and even reverse some of the most common diseases in our society by simply opting for more plant-based foods and how we can prevent the abuse of countless animals.
