Freddie a brave calf who managed to escape from a New York City slaughterhouse on Thursday, January 21, 2016, is now settling in perfectly at his new home at Skylands Sanctuary and Rescue in New Jersey. It’s only been a few days since Freddie was saved by the incredible co-founder of the sanctuary, Mike Stura, but he is already enjoying his new bed, making friends, and really loving life. After pulling a Houdini and booking it toward freedom, Freddie, named after the rock legend Freddie Mercury, is truly living the life of a star.
Freddie is a star in his own right after he made a brave escape from an NYC slaughterhouse.
Skylands co-founder Mike Stura stayed outside the slaughterhouse all night to save Freddie.
Freddie will now have the life of peace and happiness he deserves.
It’s clear this calf is happy to be free and is completely loving his new digs.
We’re so glad to see Freddie settling into his sanctuary life. To help Freddie on his journey to health and happiness, you can make a donation to Skylands Animal Sanctuary and Rescue here. To read more about Freddie’s rescue, click here.
