One of the coolest things about animals is that they recognize young of other species and act accordingly. Videos of adult cats with young children or full grown dogs with teensy kittens reveal that animals understand the concept of a “baby” and know exactly how to treat these little ones accordingly.
What’s even cooler is that most animals will eagerly accept new human babies into their families and act as if these tiny humans are their own. They’ll protect them from danger and try to help in whatever way they’re able.
This video shows an incredibly smart dog trying to teach a five-month-old baby how to crawl. It’s obvious by the dog’s actions that he knows what’s going on. His wagging tail and goofy smile show that he’s just as excited as the parents to see the baby do it!
