Dog Leaps into Action to Protect His Feline Sibling

Although the relationship between dogs and cats often gets a bad rap, they often form close bonds. This is evident in a video posted to TikTok by @shelbykennedy73 which shows one large dog leaping into action to protect his feline sibling.

In the video, a household cat can be seen being chased to the door by another feline interloper. The cat crouches on the doormat, hissing in distress. Suddenly, a rumble sounds and a large brown and white dog bursts through the animal flap installed in the door. He quickly chases off the other cat, while his feline sibling darts to safety. The video is captioned “He responded to his sister’s distress call”. 

The adorable bond between the dog and his feline sibling warmed hearts on TikTok. “He understood the assignment!!” wrote Beck. Another TikTok user, Yulia Workman, said “It’s giving ‘The only person that can bully my sibling is me’ energy.” The video has currently been liked over 595,000 times.
