The Hope For Paws team specializes in rescues that involve unforeseen turns of events and often take place under seriously strange circumstances. This time, when the rescuers received a call about a Pit Bull who urgently needed the team’s intervention, they had quite a few surprises awaiting them. The dog was wandering the streets all alone, scared and visibly in need of help. But when the rescuers started approaching her, they noticed a coyote lying nearby, observing the scene. The animal became frightened and ran away.

Because of this complication, the Pit Bull managed to get out of the rescuers’ sight. When the team finally came near, one of the rescuers had to use the technique of lying flat on the ground to appear as small and non-threatening as possible to get the dog’s trust. On top of that, the weather conditions were not on the team’s side – the temperature was very high and rescuers feared that the dog would suffer a heat stroke.

Finally, rescuers successfully captured the exhausted dog and were able to take her to safety. But on her way to the car, the sweet Pit Bull, now named Brandi, collapsed multiple times because of how tired and hot she was. The pup even received a big bucket of cold water from a kind neighbor. Brandi was then taken to a hospital and given all the care she needed. After a couple of days, she was transferred to a foster home with Doggie Bonez. She is now looking for her forever home, safe and sound, thanks to her rescuers and the support they receive from animal lovers all around the world.
