A Cruel Person SHOT This Kitten in Both Her Front Legs – Let’s Help Her Get Better

Please bear with us as we attempt to get our heads around this latest story of animal cruelty that is truly beyond belief.

The team at Concho Valley PAWS was horrified to receive a call from the San Antonio Police Department and Animal Control after a report from a Good Samaritan that a neighbor of theirs was shooting cats! This beautiful little kitten, who has since been named Bullet, was rushed to a veterinarian where she received emergency care.

Bullet is still going to need several more surgeries since it looks like they won’t be able to save one of her legs. How a person could shoot a defenseless animal in the legs is beyond our understanding, and the only upside we can see here is that the SAPD is investigating the case as felony animal cruelty. We hope the perpetrator gets all they deserve!

In the meantime, and much more importantly, the beautiful Bullet has a good prognosis and is in the best of spirits. She is a sweet, docile kitten, constantly purring and snuggling with her rescuers. Her recovery is going to be a long one, and she is going to need a lot of help, love, and time. But we know that Bullet can do it. We wish you well little girl, and we can’t wait to hear more from you! 

Why we need to even make the statement that no animal deserves to be shot, we don’t know, and it’s going to take a while to process that this has even been done, especially to a tiny kitten! But Bullet isn’t the only case of animal cruelty by shooting that we’ve witnessed, and no doubt we can expect to see many more. This is why we have to Support organizations like Concho Valley PAWS who do all they can to help animals suffering unnecessarily.
