Daft Punk’s 2013 hit “Get Lucky” may talk of the Legend of the Phoenix but it’s the Bird of Paradise that truly dances its way to getting lucky. In this awesome video, the stunning Bird of Paradise appropriately dances his impressive mating ritual to Daft Punk’s song.
The “Bird-of-Paradise” as it is known, is the common name used for a number of sub-species of beautifully colored birds from the family Paradisaeidae. The majority of them are found in New Guinea and Eastern Australia. The male attracts his mate by dancing and showing off his feathers and coloring in various ways.
The video is an absolutely fantastic mix of pop culture and nature. The colors on his chest have to be one of the best in the natural world and his dancing can rival any guy’s dancing at the bar. I bet this bird won’t have to stay up all night to get lucky. His dancing will take care of that.
