When Wildlife SOS rescuers found Rose the bear cub, her front foot was missing and she was shaking uncontrollably, a clear indication she was in extreme pain. Rescuers determined that the young bear had been caught in a poacher’s snare and judging by the appearance of the infected wound, she had been suffering for weeks.
Thankfully, Rose is now in the care of International Animal Rescue’s Bear Rescue Center, and the amazing vet team is doing all that they can to help young her recover. We hope that in addition to her injuries, her heart will eventually heal, too.
International Animal Rescue and Wildlife SOS are two incredible organizations who have aided in the rescue and rehabilitation of countless animals. Although Rose experienced untold trauma in the first few months of her life, we have no doubt that she will grow up big and strong thanks to their efforts.
