What is a Superfruit?

The term “superfruit” was first used in the food and beverage industry in 2005 to describe fruits that have exceptionally high nutrient densities and antioxidant levels. Superfruits have steadily grown in popularity since their introduction, and are now commonly sold as juices, in energy drinks, or in supplement form.
