This 9-week-old puppy named Malibu was tied to the bumper of a car 24/7. Mistreatment, loneliness, and abuse were all this puppy had ever known. It wasn’t until TikTok user @ellirescues came along and discovered this poor puppy, that her life was forever changed.
When Elli went up to the pup to take a closer look, it was obvious that Malibu wanted desperately to go home with Elli. Being tied to a car all day is no life for any animal. Malibu jumped around with excitement, almost as if she knew it was her lucky day. @ellirescues found the owners of this puppy and bought her freedom for $263. Eli welcomed Malibu into her new, loving, safe home, and gave her a bath and some much-needed love.
According to recent statistics, “One animal is abused every minute. Annually, over 10 million animals in the US are abused to death. While we cannot control the cruelty and neglect that other people inflict on innocent animals, we do have the power to give animals a voice and hold perpetrators accountable for crimes in the present and the future.
If you witness suspected cruelty to animals, call your local animal control agency as soon as possible or dial 9-1-1 if you’re unfamiliar with local organizations, says The Humane Society.
