Pangolins are among the world’s most trafficked mammals—killed for their meat and scales, then sold on the black market. An estimated 2.7 million are slaughtered each year, pushing all seven known species dangerously close to extinction.
Now, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is finally considering listing these species under the Endangered Species Act. That’s a huge step—but it’s not guaranteed. Without public pressure, the agency may delay or dilute the protections these animals urgently need.
If passed, this listing would ban the U.S. market for pangolin parts and empower law enforcement to go after wildlife traffickers. It’s time the U.S. takes its role seriously in halting this cruelty.
Don’t wait—sign the petition now to tell the USFWS to give pangolins the protection they deserve. Sign now to speak up for these voiceless animals.
