Petition: Justice for Woman Who Burned a Raccoon Alive and Recorded It for Social Media

A woman in Sarasota, Florida set a live raccoon on fire and recorded it in a series of viral videos for the social media app Snapchat.

She and a colleague apparently heard the raccoon in the dumpster near work, calmly doing its own thing while it peacefully scrounged for food. In a second video, she shows the dumpster actively on fire and says “We just toasted his ass; who’s hungry?”

Then she zooms in the camera to proudly show the dead animal’s charred remains.

Please sign this petition to urge Florida authorities to mandate intensive psychotherapy for this woman to prevent future harm to other animals!
