Authorities in Northport, New York, recently uncovered a horrifying case of neglect. More than 200 animals — including dogs, cats, ducks, hedgehogs, and parrots — were allegedly trapped in filthy cages, starving and standing in their own waste. Among the chaos, a 95-year-old woman was found trapped inside a room so packed with rubbish she couldn’t escape.

One duck reportedly had to be euthanized due to infection, and another was drained of two pounds of fluid — stark reminders of the suffering caused by unchecked hoarding. While rescuers saved hundreds of surviving animals, justice must follow. The woman charged with animal abuse has pleaded not guilty, but authorities must still act to prevent future cruelty.

Sign the petition now to demand that Northport authorities revoke her wildlife rehabilitator license, provide mental health Support, and conduct a full investigation.
