When natural disasters strike, so many lives are completely uprooted – sometimes with barely any warning. Homes are destroyed and communities are torn apart. However, what most people don’t think about is all of the animals who become an afterthought amongst all of the chaos. After a devastating monsoon struck several regions of  Myanmar, this is precisely what happened. Facing flooded streets and lack of food and water, vulnerable animals sought out any type of shelter they could to stay alive.

Thankfully, there were organizations who didn’t forget about these suffering animals. Four Paws International and partner organization, Mingalar Myanmar, joined forces to come to their aid. Working tirelessly, these selfless people provided 50 tons of animal food for over 10,000 animals in need. They also were able to provide medical attention to those who had been wounded.
