This Saffron & Pear Tea is spicy, sweet and invigorating. It does have an intense saffron flavor, so only make it if you like saffron! Want to make this into a flavorful cocktail? Add a shot of vodka!
Saffron Pear Iced Tea [Vegan]
- 1 teaspoon saffron
- 2 sprigs fresh parsley
- 1/2 vanilla bean
- 1 pear, peeled and chopped in cubes
- 1 liter water
- Add all ingredients to a saucepan. Bring to a boil, cover, reduce heat and let simmer for 10 minutes. Remove from heat and let stand 20 more minutes.
- Strain. Refrigerate the tea until cold.
Optional: place the strained cooked pear cubes on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and place in the freezer. When ready to serve, use the pear as ice cubes.
