Pet parents Garret and Andra were on a mission trip in Haiti when they received a call that no guardian ever wants to get. Their beloved pup, Bentley, had been hit by a car and was being rushed to the vet. Being so far away from home at this time was understandably heartbreaking for Garret and Andra, so they did all they could to make it back to be with their fur baby.
By the time they made it back to the U.S., Bentley had undergone surgery to have his leg amputated and was in the process of recovery. Luckily, he had made it through thanks to the amazing care of Dr. Jeff and his staff.
Back safe and sound with his parents, Bentley is learning to adjust to life on three legs. The good new is, dogs are notoriously resilient animals and there are many examples of pups who have lost and limb and learned to run, jump and play again in no time at all.
