New CES Pet Tech Promises Better Cat and Dog Health Tracking

If you live with pets, you already know how hard it can be to spot small changes before they become big problems. That is why a new wave of CES 2026 gear is trying to turn everyday routines into useful signals instead of random guesswork.

According to Macy Meyer at CNET, Petkit previewed three new connected devices that use cameras and app tracking to build a longer view of companion care. The pitch is simple. Feeding, drinking, and litter box habits can become trends you can actually see.

One device, the Yumshare Daily Feast, is an automatic wet cat feeder that can schedule meals and record who ate and how much. Another, the Eversweet Ultra, tracks drinking patterns across multiple animals and aims to keep fresh water separate from waste. The third, the Purobot Crystal Duo litter box, monitors activity and can flag changes that might matter, including stool consistency and unusual vocalizing.

There is real upside here. Earlier clues could Support better health decisions, especially for people who work long hours or travel. Still, tech should not replace a vet, and constant monitoring can also feed anxiety if the alerts are noisy or unclear.

There is also a bigger question for the environment. More gadgets can mean more plastic, batteries, and e waste. If you buy in, look for durability, repair options, and responsible recycling, and resist upgrading just because a new model drops.
