When Violet arrived at an animal shelter, she was severely underweight and sick. Her past owner abused and neglected her so badly that instead of being 40-60 pounds, she was only 19 pounds. Because Violet required a lot of medical treatment, the shelter didn’t have the resources to take care of her and asked for help from I Stand With My Pack.
They took her in, raised money for her treatment, and found a wonderful foster mom, Whitney Cummings. It was a long journey to help Violet gain weight and heal from all of her ailments, but they didn’t give up. At first, the tiny Shar Pei was scared and timid, but after a lot of love from her foster mom, Violet started to trust humans and completely opened up!
She started playing with humans and other dogs, giving kisses, and running around! Eventually, she even found her forever home! Sadly, Violet’s owner recently passed away, and she is back up for adoption with I Stand With My Pack. Hopefully, this sweet girl will find another forever home soon!
