One day, Anastasia noticed a new cat in her yard to feed. This cat seemed especially upset and maybe even a bit angry, probably due to being abandoned or mistreated by humans. She started feeding him and felt an immediate connection as a result of their shared distrust of people.
Unlike the other cats, this cat, whom she named Tiger, didn’t seem to have a place to go at night. Not wanting him to have to stay out in the cold, Anastasia built him his own little shelter from scratch! When she checked outside to see if he had seen it, he was already inside and loving the warmth!
Soon, Tiger even let Anastasia pet him and would rub his face against her hand! The pair had an amazing connection, which is why what happens next is so heartbreaking.
One day, Anastasia’s neighbors called animal control and they came to pick Tiger up so he could be taken to the shelter. Anastasia tried to comfort the little cat, but he was too scared. Sadly, Anastasia’s building had a no-pet policy and it seemed like their relationship was coming to an end. While the prospect of finding Tiger a forever home was still amazing, him and Anastasia already had so much love for each other. It would be sad to see them separated so soon.
Then, a miracle happened! Anastasia’s building decided to make an exception and let her adopt Tiger! Now he is the cuddliest little cat and so happy to finally be living inside. Check out this adorable video of his transformation from scared to snuggly:
