This owner was taking her six-month-old boxer pup on an innocent walk when they suddenly ran into a herd of half a dozen cows!
All right, we know it didn’t really happen like that. Clearly, this pup’s escort knew what she was getting into, but it’s impressive to watch in any case. At first, the boxer wags her tail, as though eager to meet some new friends, but she quickly switches to a submissive stance. Those guys are a lot bigger than her, after all, and they’ve got her outnumbered for sure! Watch the video to see how the bovine buddies react.
With a lot of patience and training, this boxer might someday have a different role in the cow-dog relationship. Though not often associated with the job, boxers can make excellent herding dogs and even compete for American Kennel Club herding titles. Maybe someday this little pup will grow to lead this same group of cows.
