Pigs are some of the most misunderstood animals on the planet. They’re stereotyped as being filthy, unintelligent beings that will eat anything in sight, but anyone who knows a pig knows that this isn’t the case. Like dogs, pigs have the ability to learn their names and perform tricks on command. These animals are also incredibly social and emotional beings, we’ve seen countless piggies who love to snuggle and cuddle up with this human BFFs. The two gigantic pigs in this video, Oliver and Gary, are the perfect example of this.
Oliver and Gary were both saved from factory farms thanks to the help of Santuario Igualdad Interespecie. On their Facebook page, the organization explains these two were only supposed to live for six months in the animal agriculture industry. As a result, their bodies were pumped with feed and chemicals that would make them grow as quickly as possible. Today, both pigs are pretty massive, to say the least, but they have lived for four years in the comfort of their sanctuary home.
As you can see, no matter how big these two look, they’re still little piglets on the inside that need love and care. We’re so pleased to know that these pigs and many other animals will get to live out their days in peace and happiness thanks to this organization.
